Loved that movie. Cannot wait for number two.

Last movie I watched was 'Southland Tales.' Great, big, mess of a movie, but, I got a kick out of it.

The Reader with Kate Winslet and Ralph Fiennes. Pretty good movie. Kate is one of my favorite actresses.

Summer Hours
French.
Three siblings lose their mother and must figure out what to do with all she has left behind, which includes a ramshackle country home filled with artistic treasures.
Meanwhile, they have their own lives to lead, which includes parenting troublesome teenagers.
The themes are family, disconnectedness, globalization.
Might be too serious, slow-moving and talky for younger viewers.
It was beautiful and bittersweet and I could relate to quite a bit of it.

Hedwig And The Angry Inch. Very good: hilarious at some points, touching at others. Unconventional (which is good, at least in this case). Nice music.

I saw it a few months back and loved it. I saw it was quite lovely and a very subtle representation of familial ties .

The last film I saw was "Micmacs" at the week-end ( also French), quirky, funny and touching and beautifully acted. I don't think it would appeal to many people because of its slightly surreal feel but I thoroughly enjoyed it !

Saw last night "An Education".

I really enjoyed it and as the parent of a teenager found it quite challenging.

Zombieland. I enjoyed it. Very funny, kind of stupid, witty at times. Overall very enjoyable.

Shutter Island

Most of the movie was slow. It was a crime drama, but the commercials for it depicted it as a horror. I was glad it wasn't scary.
