Johnnie Depp... too young for the part. The character, Rachett/Cassetti is older. Plus I just don't think he did a good job.

Kenneth Branagh... was ok as HP but I think the character, as in all of his mysteries, is much more intense and as we all know is the "most famous of all detectives in the world". Branagh didn't come across like that to me. On an aside, the moustache was terrible.

Didn't care for Penelope Cruz and how she played her character either.

I did like how they got stuck in the snow drift but with being mostly on that horrible bridge. I personally hate heights and it was a good twist for the nerves.

In truth, and I admit it fully, I am somewhat of a traditionalist with these types of stories. Also, it is one of my favorite stories/movies.

The Rider (2017), Chloe Zhao 5/5 Very realistic film about life on the rodeo circuit, with spectacular cinematography.

"Solomon and Sheba"

Wonderful photography, powerful characters, and great costuming. It is also interesting to see where others may have gotten their ideas, such as perhaps with Keith Laumer and "The Night of Trolls". Perhaps.

"Double Jeopardy"

Wonderful photography, great landscapes, and for the most part, a compelling movie that keeps you watching through out. The prison section drags a little but once you get past that, it is a wonderful flick.....especially if you don't take too critical an eye to it.
