Interesting, I was just thinking about this a few weeks ago.

Been so long ago, but I believe the last movie I saw at a drive in (and the only time I ever been to one) was Tales from the Darkside. It was some drive in theater in Idaho, 1990. Can't remember where exactly, Idaho Falls?

Mr. Peabody and Sherman, and Godzilla, both last year. We have two active drive-ins in my area, so we go a couple times each summer.

The Flintstones in 1994 mainly because the Drive-In was part-year in Long Island. Because it went to radio frequency rather than the boxes, it was not a landmark despite being Long Island's last Drive-In. Because of these two facts it was on the block to get closed down which it did and was really only fought to be kept around by a proposed BJ's Warehouse store but that failed. They put in a BJ's and a new traditional movie theater. I actually saw more movies in the replacement theater than I ever did the drive-in. There's one kinda near me in the Phoenix area but not the closest theater to me so I never saw one there...

Can't remember the movie, but we still have two drive ins within 50 miles of here. One in Lamar Mo and one in Carthage Mo.

Grease, and I'm not sure of the year, but it had to be mid to late 1970s, at the old Seekonk Drive In in Seekonk, MA. We still have one that's open in the summer here in RI, and I've been meaning to go just for the experience. I MUST go this summer!

"Coal Miner's Daughter". Must have been about 1982. Falls City, Nebraska. That was my first drive-in since 1962, when I moved to Quebec, where drive-in movies were illegal.. My wife and I were driving home from a shopping trip to St. Joseph MO, with our 4-yo asleep in the back seat, and decided on the spur of the moment to go see the film.

A few years ago, my wife and I went to the Bengies Drive-In in Essex, Md., to see "2000 Maniacs".

Director Herschell Gordon Lewis made an appearance, arriving in a hearse and addressing the crowd before the showing.

Ran into Brian Horrorwitz of The Ubangis at the show.

I grew up in the Bronx, and as a child I remember my parents taking us to the Whitestione Drive-In right off the Hutchison River Parkway. The last movie I saw there was Superman 3. They tore the Drive-In down and put a Multiplex in its place and one of the first movies I saw there was Terminator. The Multiplex has recently been shut down and being replaced with outlet retail stores. I now live in Westchester County and the closest Drive-In theater is in Warwick NY. Its a nice theater (great popcorn), and they have recently upgraded to the latest technology. Last fall we saw "The Equalizer" and "The Maze Runner"
