If you look under my username, you'll know how I feel about Maurice Sendak's book. I am a preschool teacher and a mom and I have that book memorized.
I have mixed feelings about the film. I am apprehensive.
I *want* to be optimistic. I love Spike Jonze and the cast looks good.
I love this book. I too am a preschool teacher and I think this is a must have book for any little one. I don't have much hope for the movie though. I'm sure they will take too many liberties with the story (how long can you possibly make it?) and I am irritated by that computer animation... I'm sure the visuals will be pathetic next to the book illustrations.
Oh, that is cool! As a children's librarian, I obviously have read that book a million times... and will definitely let my patrons/parents know about the movie release! Wonder how young of a kid will enjoy it? The book scares some of the little ones, so I bet the movie would be even scarier.

I love seeing children's books turned into movies (when they're done accurately). I've always wanted to see a well done version of Rabbit Hill.
New link--apparently (as of right now) there is a problem with Brikag's link. Trailer
