Oh man, I loved River Phoenix. He was terrific in Running on Empty but of course he'd been in movies before then.

Here's the trailer for Running On Empty and Stand By Me. What a lost talent.

Stand By Me also showcases young Kiefer Sutherland and John Cusak.

Johnny Depp was slashed in the first Nightmare on Elm Street. And Matt Damon was a tiny baby in Mystic Pizza.

Well, I wouldn't call him a tiny baby but he was definitely young in Mystic Pizza!

I think Johnny Depp was actually 21 in A Nightmare On Elm Street but he sure didn't look it. He was such a cutie when he was young.

I remember that flick, saw it at the theatre. Unfortunately, it got obliterated by another kid's space movie of the time.

Speaking of space movies, what about Critters......and Scott Grimes & Billy Zane.

I also saw Explorers back then. A lot of gas burned ("From the director of Gremlins") for a small fire. Never bothered again.
