I could sit for 2 hours and listen to the old guys in the barber shop. As long as they are still in the movie, I'm happy.

Been there, done that.

P.S. John Landis is a piece of sh*t.

That's the rumor. But I don't think he had anything to do with this movie.

It's no rumor, and he does not, but I won't be surprised if he's thanked in the credits.

That may well be. I have never met the guy. But he doesn't have a good reputation. Even in interviews, he has never struck me as a very nice person.

That said, the guy made some great movies in his day. And if we wanted to start writing a list of great artists who were horrible human beings, we might have a semi-extensive list finished in 12 or 13 pages. I know Chuck Berry and James Brown were horrible people. I still like their music. I know Beethoven could be a monster at times. He's no less a genius. Woody Allen, Roman Polanski, etc....

Sometimes you gotta separate the art from the artist.

Not with this guy.

Quote:
Deputy Dist. Atty. Lea Purwin D’Agostino, who prosecuted Landis, said: “I think the jurors would probably have preferred to have been invited to the party he threw to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the verdict rather than a screening of a movie that I understand is not very good.”
