I wish they will offer more MARLON Brando movies.
He and Lawrence Olivier are the two best actors of their time

Dashing Through the Snow (2023)

A delightful new take on the 'Believe in Santa' story. It's got the Christmas curmudgeon, played by Chris Ludacris Bridges and a fantastic Santa Claus, played by Lil Rel Howery. (He did a great job playing Santa!) The rest of the cast was good, also. I thought it was a super fun movie and will watch it again with my grandsons.

A foreshadowing of I Love Lucy? Pure silliness and good fun.

There were comparisons to Alfred Hitchcock films and, indeed, this French film director snapped up the rights to the novel that Hitchcock wanted. This one will keep you guessing until the end. Even the final warning, after the film ends (wait for it) onscreen tells the viewer not to reveal the surprise ending!

One word of warning -- this is dubbed in English so it takes a few minutes to get used to. I prefer foreign language films with subtitles myself.

The last two nights we watched Die Hard and Elf, followed by their episodes of "The Movies That Made Us" on Netflix (I love that show!). I can't believe that I'm going to say this, but Die Hard has really lost a lot of its luster for me. I used to love that movie, but now I just see so many unbelievable plot holes in it, and it just hasn't aged well. Oh well, I guess I'm getting old...

De Palma's "Phantom of the Paradise". It's wild.

The trailer almost has nothing to do with the movie.

Me too! I know the reviews are mixed, but I really liked it, especially the performance by Carey Mulligan. My mom had such a huge crush on Leonard Bernstein. If she were alive today, she sure would be surprised.
