Decent. It starts out slow with some bad acting (and ends slow with the same) but it picks up. Photography is beautiful throughout. Mostly a "kung fu" fighting flick with lots of toys.....but it is better than an Andy Sidaris flick. No nudity. A 7.0.
"The Dilemma" with Vince Vaughn, Kevin James, Winona Ryder, Jennifer Connelly, Channing Tatum, and Queen Latifah (2011)
Once again, I was expecting more since it's such a good cast. It kind of felt like an Adam Sandler movie and it seemed like it was trying too hard; too much over-the-top zaniness. I actually thought the more serious moments were done really well and were well-acted.
I'm sitting here laughing because I kept saying to my SO about how odd it was that they all looked so young, like it was just such a coincidence. I was even wondering if they were now just CGI'ing people to make them look younger. Then I look up the year to post it here and I see it's from 2011, lol!
Carnifex-2022- 3 young folks are on a quest into the Australian Outback, to track animals displaced by bushfires. One large animal isn't friendly. It's a good action movie. I enjoyed it.
I wonder how much Amazon paid for "Air" on Prime Video.
I'm not much of a sports fan but I thought "Air" was incredibly compelling. Of course, we all knew how it was going to turn out. I liked Michael Jordan's tribute to his mom.
Pluto TV has been showing multiple Mission Impossible movies, good stuff. I particularly enjoyed watching the very first one as it is one of my favorites of this series. The second one was the worst out of the series, not that it was bad.
For those old enough to remember the restaurant Chasen's in L.A., we just watched Off the Menu: The Last Days of Chasens (1997) on Netflix.
Kind of fun to see all the old stars and hear old stories. Also touched on some of the "elitism" of the business. It really affected the employees when it was closing because they felt like family and it had been around forever. There's a nice Donna Summer story, too.

Are you sure this is on Netflix? I just searched and it's not there. I thought Netflix only removed things at the end of the month, but not sure (I don't pay attention normally).
The DVD is $200.00. Hard pass on that!
