Denzel would have been a terrible Bond. He could never pull off a British accent. Even when he tries to do a Southern accent, you can hear his New York drawl. He has a different style than Bond, so he would be a bad choice in my mind.

Hollywood is so hypocritical. You have to be open about things like this or you’re a racist. Meanwhile Scarlet Johansson gets ripped for saying she should be able to play any character.

Jane Bond won’t work. I realize they said it won’t be the same character, but then it’s not a Bond movie and it will bomb. Next, I want to see Tom Cruise as the Black Panther.

Sean Connery is in his late 80s, and I'm pretty sure he could still take Cavill in a fight.
Just for you then:

Well, you've heard, haven't you, the real story of pre-Bond Sean Connery taking the gun out of the hand of a real gang enforcer that was threatening him over Lana Turner?

Going forward, the material should treated as what it is.
Having said that, I have really enjoyed Naomie Harris' treatment of the Moneypenny character.
There are a number of hit period pieces from Britain that have a strong following, so I'd really like to see all the older films remade as 60's period pieces, starting with Dr. No.

The way the BBC does television, they could conceivably remake the entire Bond franchise as a television series.

If you read the article she’s NOT the new Bond but will be taking over the 007 number after Craig retires.
