The Sopranos Prequel movie

Strangely enough I've been semi-binge watching the show the last few days.

I don't think this will work. They're also talking a Game of Thrones prequel. The jury is still out on the latest Star Trek prequel and Enterprise was generally unliked (although I liked it).

Game of Thrones has several spin-offs in the works, but none are direct prequels to the current storyline.

I liked Enterprise a lot.

It is a prequel movie; not a tv show/series.

The problem with a Sopranos prequel like this, all the characters that made the Sopranos so popular, would be young kids in the prequel, (except for Junior and maybe 1 or 2 others) so it would basically be something totally new, unrecognizable.

The only 'new' Sopranos idea that could have potential is something based on AJ/ Meadow, all grown up now, AJ in the mafia now, or?
