Snipes got a reputation for being a pain to work with. Too much ego. It's why you don't see much of him anymore. No one wants to work with him.
In my view, Snipes -- whom I really liked -- went down the wrong road cinematically. And it's the same mistake some actors make today. It's okay to do the big budget super hero or action hero thing, but just not all the time. It pigeonholes you as an actor, and then you get a little too old for that genre and you're out. Now you don't see him much because I think the 3 years in prison destroyed his image AND he's approaching 60...and looks it. The failed t.v. show after prison didn't help any.
This is what I hope for Boseman -- great to see him in what is looking like a huge hit...but do serious roles here and there, as well.
Now the next question is,......what and who will be in the mid/after credits scene?!
With it being so close to the first Infinity War release, and reports that the BP will lead right into it, I’m expecting a bridge. I don’t want to spoil much (it’s just speculation, really), but possibly Thanos finally knowing exactly where all of the stones are and he’s now out to collect them. Which is what the first Infinity War is about basically.
I didn’t see a plan for a second BP movie, so I don’t think it will be anything specific to the BP universe. Wouldn’t mind being wrong, however.
Based on the hype, I suspect that a flop is approaching. Could this be Marvel's "Green Lantern"?
In any escapist fantasy, there have to be conditions and characters that one wishes to experience, vicariously. Are they present in B.P.?
What about all the cool technology? Of course, there is always the old good guys vs the bad guys. With Serkis and Freeman, the movie should connect with the wider Marvel fanbase.
