Whoops, you're right. I was temporarily thinking of the Taurus PT92. It's a near copy of the Baretta, but improves on the Baretta on that particular point, being a frame-mounted lever instead of a slide-mounted lever, and being able to be cocked-and-locked or decocked.

Oh okay. So in case of wanting to keep the weapon decocked with the safety off, do a lot of officers keep it only half cocked, while holstered then with the safety off?
