Yeah, they gave great performances, but take nothing away from Kumail.

I asked a question about the movie title. It's a fair question. It may well be the greatest movie of all time. Doesn't change the fact that it's a bad movie title. "The Big Sick" isn't all that far off from "Gonna Hurl." Which is not the image they were going for, I hope.

The title is memorable. Half the time I can't even remember the name of movies I've seen lately.

You forgot the IYO caveat. The title is fine. Go see it and you may or may not agree. What's a few bucks? Chump change. I paid $5.25 for the matinee. And it was not a minor undertaking, with this theater having no covered parking, and 103F / 39.4C temps, translating to fry and egg on the dashboard inside the car temps when the movie let out. Minor matters as it was a worthwhile trip.

Just realized that Zoe Kazan (center) starred in Kelly Reichardt's excellent Meek's Cutoff. I still can't get this movie out of my head. And when the credits start, the photos and descriptions - a very nice touch and self-explaining.

That wouldn't have even made sense as the movie title.

There are others who read this thread as well.

A lot of people who didn't like The Santa Clarita Diet because of the vomit scene. I wouldn't want people reading this thread to pass on the movie because they think there is a lot of committing in this movie as well. Its a Judd Apatow comedy, but no gross humor is used like in Bridesmaids.
