I made sure it wasn't one of those bait and switch movies, in which the trailer makes you think it's a feel good comedy, but then it's all doom and gloom.
Does the movie explain the title? Because the previews make this look like a good movie, but I cannot imagine a worse title for a movie than "The Big Sick."

Yes the movie explains the title, although I do not really like the title very much either.
Have you seen it? I didn't think so. I didn't know that Holly Hunter was in it. Even saw that she was in Terrence Malick's Song to Song, and it completely passed me by I didn't recognize her*. But she's great in The Big Sick. The Big Sick is my #2 for the year. I highly recommend The Big Sick. I kept thinking of The Big Sick even the next day. To me it's been a really slow year, but it's picking up - Dunkirk later this week. It can only get better.

Spoiler
she must have been Natalie Portman's mother
Ray Romano and Holly Hunter as the parents are major highlights of the movie.
So why are you posting here? In The Big Sick thread? Again, pretty self evident..., rhymes with roll. The shoe fits and all that.
