BvS being a relative flop and the Flash director leaving after a year of pre-production aren't reasons to worry about the DCverse?
I suspect what is happening is that after the disappointing box office and reviews of BvS, the suits at Warner Brothers are starting to interfere with the upcoming movies, and the directors are departing for "creative differences." Which generally means these movies are now being designed by committee.
And yeah, that does worry me. Creation by committee seldom ends well, especially when the decision makers are primarily accountants and marketing people, not filmmakers. The movies start becoming less about, "Is this a great movie?" than "But what kind of Happy Meal toys can we do with this?"

That's why DC/WB should have had their own Kevin Feige from the start. Marvel turned Iron Man 2 into a film-by-committee and it basically sucks, but when Feige is guiding things they tend to turn out well and keep directors happy. Whedon is the exception, of course, but Feige kept him from bloating 'Age of Ultron' with unnecessary fluff and fanservice.

Yeah, it's a "flop" even though it's grossed over 150 million more than DoFP (which ended its theatrical run in the red). You can't overlook one tentpole film for another, unless you're playing the Pro/Con game. You say you're not anti-DC, but I've a hard time believing that.

I don't want that for the DCEU. I want their films to have a different (darker) tone. The MCU is already that way, and though the Russos are able to (arguably) make better films than their predecessors, they're still not quite where I'd like them to be. Otherwise, we wouldn't have Widow & Hawkeye exchanging jokes while they're fighting on opposing sides.
It wasn't a BAD idea it wasn't the best story line for doing it. And the time line itself was bad enough.
