I LOVED Dr Strange and the trailer blew me away. I wasn't certain about Benedict for this role but after the trailer I realized he's perfect for it. He has the right combination of gravitas and acting chops to sell the character.
In a previous interview with Collider during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, director Scott Derrickson shared the first cut of the movie was “a little over two hours” and at the time it was a “little under two hours”. However, pick-up shots were still going at the time of that interview, so these re-shoots could have added to make the total of 130 minutes Event Cinemas is reporting.
In addition to the running time, it was also revealed that – in Marvel’s fashion of releasing their movies first in the UK – Doctor Strange will open in the United Kingdom on Tuesday, October 25, while the American audience will have to wait until November 4.
I have waited and pray for this movie to be made, just like Transformer and WOW. It just looks disappointing. Won't even bother to Redbox it at all now. Oh well, life goes on.
It is sitting pretty with 90% critic and user approval on rotten tomatoes. It looks like this one is another shining star in the Marvel mythos. They have really been on an up swing since the last Avengers film. I'm going to see this tonight and I'm sure it won't disappoint.
