This is true. I didn't like it until after I read the comic though. Perhaps this is the reason why they won't write a real comic book story line.
I wouldn't say that, just maybe take liberties on unimportant issues and not say Mary Jane Watson is blonde, not redhead. The Nolan movies worked because whole they didn't follow the comics beat by beat, the archetypes were there. Batman V Super worked (for me) because they were able to rectify the issue of Superman and they did a powerful, emotional story that nobody expected to ever see on film.
It seems very much like more of a direct sequel to The Winter Soldier that would’ve served as a standalone tale focusing on Cap and Falcon and their search for Bucky. But, Markus says that as they working on their movie, Feige came into their office and just said two words: “Civil War”.
I know that the studio is a business and so they need these expensive movies to be hugely successful. But I admit I'm getting really tired of movies being judged primarily on their box office take. We're putting too much emphasis on quantity and not enough on quality.
Judged primarily on box office by who? Because everyone who sees Civil War loves it, so a hugely successful box office showing is not the only reason people will be lauding it.
It's been getting great reviews already, and killing it at the box office overseas.
I'm one of those guys that love crossovers in terms of characters, and I didn't even realize there were so many crossover heroes from other movies that are going to be in this movie. That one part in the trailer where the two groups face off, lots of familiar faces there.
Winter Soldier is one of my favorite comic book movies ever, so this one should be good also. It's got William Hurt to give it that little bit extra of class, kind of what Redford did for WS.
^^^How can we say that reviews do not matter? Are not reviews the essence of Rotten Tomatoes and IMDb? If the critics are giving a 92% approval to an action movie, they did some things pretty well.
As for me, I am very interested in audience reviews. Critic reviews...not as much.
Must be seen in theaters? What if someone has an 80" 4K set with state of the art sound and theater seating?
"Must be seen in theaters?" By a guy who has not seen it?
