Back in the summer of 1985 during my high school days a group of us had went to the drive-in to see Pee-wee's Big Adventure". Knowing that the drive-in would be showing x-rated flicks at midnight and knowing the drive-in was understaffed we figured we would "hang around" and perhaps we can stay and watch the "dirty movies". We stayed and there on the screen right at midnight was "..this movie is rated X !! Adults Only !!". The movie I believe was called "Hot Tub Babes" or something like that.
OK...the first scene was a man fixing the hot tub and out comes a woman wearing a robe. She says "...I have something for you ?? Did they have sex ?? Ah no..she gives him a cup of coffee and all they did was just talk. Those two never did get into the hot tub much less get naked and have sex. Next scene shows another woman calling up her "girlfriend" and says "...hey lets have a naughty time in my tub". Lesbian sex ?? Ah no...the two women did go into the hot tub but the only "naughty" thing they did was drink wine and giggle !! Neither girl was even naked !!
Anyway after watching 30 minutes of this so-called "x-rated prono without sex" we left but not before hearing the guy in the car next to us screaming "...OMG...this is porno for heart patients !!".

Fit movies I saw in theaters, I can say the closest is Dear John but it seemed like a good movie, I just lost it with the 9/11 scenes as a New Yorker lost me.
"Into the Woods" with Meryl Streep. Absolutely horrible and boring; and NONE of the cast did a good job. (The girl who played Red Riding Hood was especially bad. I remember thinking if she was some mega-rich executive's kid or grandkid because I could not understand how she could have gotten the part otherwise. I mean, this is a kid who would have been cast as a non-talking tree in her elementary school play.)
The only good line in the whole movie was when Chris Pine, who played Prince Charming, said, "I was raised to be charming, not sincere." This movie was neither.
Refund includes admission, concession and parking.
Hm the last movie I saw in a theater was LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD .... It was GOOD but I saw it 3 or 4 different times @ the same theater....... Getting a refund for 1 would be good!!
It doesn't take much for me to make an informed choice as to whether or not to see a film. Read a review or two (by reviewers that I have identified as reliable and having similar tastes to myself), watch a trailer, select for genre and director and/or cast.
If I don't like a film after that, then it's on me. And if I didn't do that (let's face it: fairly minimal research) then that's on me, too. But that rarely happens, because I'm not bad at discerning what I will like.
Seven Brides for Seven brothers
I saw it in the late 50s, when I was about 6.
It gave me a headache and I left in the middle.
My cousin stayed.
I was really annoyed because it cost me a few weeks pocket money.
