The recent 'adaptation' of Anna Karenina to the screen...ugh...it's a pity lit has to get ripped up as it's taken off the page...

Easy one for me! Hands down, without a shred of doubt, unequivocally:

Lost in Translation

The movie had gotten sublime reviews from critics and Hollywood types, so I went into the theater with pretty high expectations. And I kept waiting for something to happen. And waiting.......and waiting......and waiting.
Bill Murray slept his way through the movie--as I should have done. And, even though Scarlett Johanssen is still only a mediocre actress at-best, she has improved immensely since this dog of a movie, when she was downright laughably bad.
Over the years I figured out why all the undeserved praise for this move: it's director was Sophie Coppola, who was so roundly (and rightly!) lambasted for her non-acting performance in Godfather III. A lot of Hollywood people who liked her were finally so relieved she did something they thought was good.

OK, I agree it was kinda bad...BUT...it's so funny that I love this movie! When they do their singing, my sister and I would make fun for years to come.

My worst movie in the theater:

Skyline
