Stranger than Fiction was a good movie. Will Farrell really surprised me in that one.

The Shawshank Redemption is the hands-down winner in this category on my list; it made a paltry $17,000,000 as opposed to $325,000,000+ for the way over-ballyhooed and multiple Oscar winner 'Forrest Gump'.

Shawshank definitely is the better movie but Forrest Gump was fun and sported an A-list cast of figures...JFK, John Lennon

I agree with previous posters for Blade Runner and The Tree of Life (it's hard to believe that Blade Runner was a commercial flop, given that it's now one of my favorite sci-fi masterpieces).

I would add David Lynch's mindbender Inland Empire.

Land of the Lost remake

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Evan Almighty

Great FX, TBS, USA channel movies though. My wife always sighs when I turn the tv and hit one of those movies.
