i refuse to partake in top 10, list sites, whathaveyou, where you have to click to see them one at a time.

i'll throw one out that's sure to not be on that list (the one that i didn't view):

raggedy man (1981). raggedy bum who walks around a small town during WWII with a push mower and turns out to be sissy spacek's ex who got tore up in WWII and came back and is now anonymously her protector and not really a villain and dies saving his (and her) son and rescuing them from the local retards trying to rape her. not a dumb villain but an unexpected one who isn't.

I was suprised Chuckie was 15. I'd have bumped him further up the list and put him in Frankenstein's spot.

I never heard of most of those movies...I guess I know why now lol

Whoever assembled the list is apparently a relative newcomer to horror, overlooking a wide array of classics from earlier films like:
From Hell It Came

The Creeping Terror...where the monster is some sort of giant balled up dirty carpet

Really revealing the list compiler's absence of a comprehensive command of the genre, not included is "Robot Monster", the classic '50's film where the robot was created by combing an ape suit with a diving helmet.

Frankenstein shouldn't have been on there. I might say zombies shouldn't be on there either, but they've been used so much that I can't really argue with it.

It's just another one of those lists that is trying to pander to its audience. List a bunch of relatively recent movies and throw in a couple old ones for good measure. Many of the horror films from the 40s and 50s could be on there since they were so cheesy.
