It's showing on very limited screens right now. Even in Los Angeles where movies make premieres before the rest of the country, it's only showing at 3 movie theaters, only 2 in the earlier part of the week. I saw it yesterday and liked it. Some people on IMDB boards are saying that it didn't present a true picture of the protagonist. I'm not sure about that. They did show that he was in prison, but didn't say what he was in there for. It's a low budget indie film, so I don't think that it'll take much to generate a profit.

No, but I wish that I could. I have heard some good things about it.

It's not playing any where near me. The closest place may be Cleveland. If there are only three theaters playing in in L.A., I may have a hard time finding it.

I think it's worth seeing.

It doesn't hit "mainstream" until July 26, i think. That's next Friday.

I want to see it. I looked it up online and was surprised I did not recall the incident that the movie is based on, Which was tragic and shocking. Not familiar with Micheal K. Jordan the actor either but have heard good things about him.

I do remember the incident because it was caught on a cell phone camera and you saw how Oscar Grant was basically murdered by a BART cop. The cop only served 1 year I believe and I'm not sure if I really want to see this even though I hear the film is very good.

Just got back from seeing it. AMAZING film by a young 26 year old director. Very well done. You could hear a pin drop at the end of the movie....

Definitely recommend it!

It's playing at one of the main theaters in my town. I've been debating whether I want to see it or not. Keep the reviews coming, so I and others can decide.

go and see it - you will be glad that you did. A very truthful story of a 22 yr old at the brink of turning the corner of his life, and having it snuffed out.
