OK, I just watched it on Youtube. It was a good movie within it's genre. I'm surprised I'd never heard of Michale White before. He has on screen charisma. Where are all the better movies he should be getting?

Not the best opening scene i have seen, but the best I did not see.

I was late to the theater the first time I saw No Way Out with Kevin Costner and missed the entire opening sequence that set up an essential plot line. Watched the whole movie under mistaken assumptions. Interesting experience!

Casino Royale. Starts in B&W and shows how James Bond got his 00 status.

Followed by the best on foot chase scene on film.

Hereafter (2010) with Matt Damon. The opening scene is a startling recreation of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.

Here it is:

The two opening scenes that have stuck with me since the day I saw them are Se7en and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
