Everytime I see that movie all I can Think of how crap he is in it! Great movie but god I wish it wasn't keanue! Anything he makes is less than Stellar...
Not true. He is pretty good when he stays in his comfort zone of playing dumb or slightly brain-damaged characters ( Bill & Ted, A Scanner Darkly, The Matrix) or roles in which he is stoic to the point of being mute (John Wick, Speed). Not to mention he has a reputation of being one of the nicest, down to earth people in Hollywood.
But yeah, put him in a period piece like Dracula or Shakespeare...sorry, no.
I agree with OP Darryl Hannah performance in Wall Street was pretty awful.
It's not believable that her goofy, nonchalance, somewhat hippyish character would be a successful interior decorator and have been involved with the powerful Michael Douglas character in this movie.
Would have preferred they cast a better actress, also this role needed to have the actress show class, sophisticated and sharp. Just the wrong role for Darryl Hannah. Better choices would be Sharon Stone, Demi Moore or Maresia Tomei.
I remember when this movie was released, love the 80s time period.
Would have liked to have seen more of Sean Young character she played Michael Douglas wife.

I know she won an Oscar for her performance and everything, but Natalie Portman ruined "Black Swan" for me. Not even sure if it's an "otherwise good film" because I couldn't get past her performance. There was nothing, and I mean nothing, believable about her as a ballerina. I honestly thought a real dancer should have been cast in the lead instead of using a double.

Yup. He's also fantastic in a little known movie I LOVE YOU TO DEATH.
And I've never heard a bad word about the guy. Everyone who meets him says what a genuinely nice person and decent human being he is.

Especially after Bill and Ted. (And I will always love Keanu Reeves in that role as Ted.)
Roseanna Arquette's performance in The Big Blue is dreadful. I love this movie, but wish they had cast someone else. The way she delivers lines and interacts with the other actors just ruins her character.
Mickey Rooney's horrible Japanese caricature in Breakfast at Tiffanys, it always brings the film to a screeching halt, the director Blake Edwards is obviously as much to blame.
