The Legend of Hell House is excellent.
Dan Curtis' Dracula (with Jack Pallance)- excellent atmosphere and very close to Bram Stoker's version
Old Dark House - this is the original of this genre! If you want to understand this genre, it's the basic education. And still one of the best!
Terror in the Crypt (with Christopher Lee)
And who can deny Spiral Staircase?? No one has mentioned this well known all time classic

A lot of my favs have already been mentioned. I don't think anyone has mentioned these yet. Of all, see DUST EVIL, and make sure it is the long, director's cut. If you want atmosphere, I can honestly say that the Namiban desert is a character in this film.
