old movie search (comedy, buy, romantic)

help... i only remmeber that the movie started with a woman and a man in a store and each one wants to buy only part of a pajama.
i remmamber the salesman saying to them that it's not possible. the man and the woman don't know each other. i think it's a romantic comedy....
I've allready googled and it's not "bluebeard's eighth wife"
please help... it's driving me crazy

How do you know it's not Bluebeard? It does sound 1930's1940s. Was there a re-make perhaps?

in bluebeard the guy wants to buy pajama tops. in the movie i remmember the guy wanted the bottom and the woman wanted the top of the pajama
