One of my favorite seemingly obscure movies is 11:14, one of those coincidences-brings-people-together type of movies. With a twist. Another similarly styled movie is one of John Sayles' lesser known films, City of Hope.
Always have to talk up my favorite B-movie spoof, The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra.

That one shows up on Turner Classic Movies about once every two months or so. It's on my DVR queue right now ...
No one I've talked to has heard of this comedy, and it's not that old (1996).
Flirting With Disaster
It stars Ben Stiller, Patricia Arquette, Tea Leoni (back when she was in every movie), and even Alan Alda and Lily Tomlin.
It's actually pretty hilarious. I never heard of it when it was in the theaters for like 10 minutes, but bought it on DVD on sale. It is way funnier than Something About Mary.
I've heard of almost all the ones you all listed, except for Grande Vadrouille and Black Death.
I love I Know Where I'm Going, and Zeffirelli's Taming of the Shrew was a big deal for me in triggering my interest in movies.
I can think of tons of good movies that probably no one has heard of:
Shadow of the Raven
Positive I.D.
The Verdict (1946, with Greenstreet and Lorre)
Testament
And then all kinds of films which people have heard of but probably never seen:
I Was Born...But
Bizarre, Bizarre
A Slight Case of Murder
The Wedding Banquet
I love the Wedding Banquet!!!
A movie/miniseries that I discovered recently is Lost in Austen. I think it's a must see for any die hard Pride and Prejudice fans! It's hysterical!
"I sent a letter to my love" a Simone Signoret French movie with that typically french bittersweet subject. It has been out of video for years. I have yet to catch it on TV for the last decade or so.
"Blow out" a Brian De Palma film with John Travolta, Karen Allen and John Lithgow as a despicable villain in a conspiracy theory scenario.
"Hero" - a Jet Li movie - martial arts movie buffs will know this one though.
"Get Low" Bill Murray, Robert Duvall... an excellent film! Took a chance on it out of the Redbox and loved it.
