anyone hear any reviews good or bad about this movie? I just saw the trailer for it and I'm kind of ambivalent. I loved the book the movie is based on and I thought the Swedish movie was okay (though it left out several major plot points from the movie). I recently saw the movie Kick As* and was excited to hear that the young actress that played Hit Girl was playing Eli. I'm hoping the book stays truer to the book than the Swedish movie did

Kick A$$ was a fantastic movie. It had strong, moral characters and was a fantastic tale of justice. I am glad to see the young actress from that film move on to other projects!

When I first saw the title for Let Me In I thought it was going to be about that spooking preacher from Poltergeist 2! LET...ME...IN!!! I tried watching Let the Right One In but just could not get into it.

Never read the book, but I saw the Swedish movie. Hated it. Most boring movie I've ever sat through in my life.

It had a few very good scenes. But a few good scenes do not a good movie make.

well, did some research and it looks like it's dropping some major plot points from the book as well. pity.

The Swedish movie was excellent--the screenplay was written by the author of the book, so even though changes were made to the story, I felt that they didn't lessen the impact. The book is great, too.

the original movie was, is, beautiful. Why a remake, so soon? Maybe to strip it off some not-so-nice nuances, ambiguity and violent scenes (the only explanation I can find)? But that's also a key part of the story. It's so pointless...

They are remaking it because most American audiences refuse to watch a foreign film. (Due to subtitles)

I'm excited for the remake-- I'll admit-- I don't like foreign films much. But I do want to go out and watch the original of this due to the great reviews it received.

Hollywood needs to stop remaking films of any kind; it's time every movie that came out were an original. Otherwise, it's just so obvious that they're doing it solely to make a buck and they don't even care about creativity, art or ideas.

I didn't even like the Swedish film: it was a little too weird, slow and gory for me. So, I definitely won't be seeing a remake.
