We have a Kawasaki Mule. Our neighborhood speed limit is 17, so we didn't need a speed demon, plus we use it to work around our property. It has a 3 year warranty, which was a big selling point to us.
It depends on where you ride. In my area, 50" UTVs are allowed on designated ATV trails. 50" RZRs, Arctic Cat Trails are popular, I expect the new Can Am will be popular. In open areas, the wider, more powerful machines are popular-but man they can get expensive!

The 50s are now the biggest thing as everyone wants a market share. They are popular because they fit in the beds of pickups and don't need a trailer. I believe a couple even make a 700 in a 50 inch. That would fly.

Polaris has a 900 in the 50. AC's trail was a 700 when I was riding; not sure what they have now. I also don't know anything about the new Can-Am. I expect it will be a runner-CA has always been performance oriented.
Depends on where you live and the available trails. Our club and associated clubs have members with 50" UTV's and above. We go on a lot of trails and our clubs always post rides with width restrictions. I would say about 75% are all widths but there are those trails that are restricted to 50" and under.
My favorite is the RZR 1000 XP. I have the 4 seater, and while it can be challenging at times depending upon the trail it will go anywhere. Second favorite was the RZR 800S. Darn near indestructible.

A 900? Mine feels like it's flying and we are topping out at 45.
We'll have a RZR 1000 to use in a month. That thing just hauls butt.
