Okay...MMUSMM-nice picture.... theqbaby: We had an old Bronco we bought off a man that needed money- it sat in his side yard- that thing was great in the snow. We slo bought an old GMC truck for $75.00 put an engine in it (we had already) , got in an accident- only vehicle to be able to drive away received- $700.00 from Insurance company and sold for $350.00. Gotta love it
2003 Lexus ES300. Beautiful car, great interior, I think it's a little heavy for its transmission (poor stop/start). I heard that the 2003 Lexus models had the lowest average number of issues for that year per auto manufacturer, followed by Buick (!!!)
Just sold my 1995 Honda Accord backup car, great car. I'm always blown away by the performance of foreign cars to domestically produced cars (sorry to all you Chevy & Ford drivers out there!)
Next month will probably be buying a Lotus Sport Elise or a Porsche Cayman coupe but not the '06 - gotta go used. I need a sports car and want to buy in an off season.
Been an SUV person since 1993 and a Chevy person for life.
Had more than one Suburban and LOVE THEM! Looked for used for the first and the prices were only about 2K less than a new one for one that was 2 years old w/ tons of miles and worn out. No thanks, I'll splurge on the new then.
Me:
02 Suburban
06 BMW 3 Series (LOVE IT!!!!)
Hubby:
98 Chevy p/u extended cab 4x4 w/ small lift
68 Camaro conv
69 Camaro RS/SS
A 1964 1/2 Mustang that my husband's dad bought when it was only 6 months old.
A 1988 Mustang GT 5.0 hubby bought in 1995 for $7,000. He put a new GT-40 crate engine into it about 4 years ago.
A 1969 427 big block Corvette he bought in 2002 for $13,000. It was originally a tri-power pac, but it had a different engine in it when he bought it. He put a new engine in it (among other things), and now it puts out 700 horsepower.
Of course I have the dependable car of the group: a 1989 Chevy S-10 Blazer. I love this car!! It's the only one of the bunch I like to drive. I paid $17,000 cash for it brand new back in 1989. Hubby put a new engine in it 2 years ago, so it's good to go for a bunch more years.
We're also planning to buy a 1987 911 Porsche Carrera (my mid-life crisis car!) once he sells the '64 1/2 Mustang (his idea -- not mine!).

Hi Nea1! Nope - no pony interior. Yes, hubby knows that 64 1/2's are rare, but he MUCH prefers the vroom, vroom of the other two!! So, if he's going to sell one of his babies at some point, that's the one he's picked. Both of our mind-sets are, well, if it sells, ok, but if it doesn't, that's ok too.
