I hated riding on an Interstate even on a 1200 Sportster. I'd never take a Sporty on a long trip on major highways at highway speeds.
It's really not that bad once you get used to it.
I had a 25 miles (one way) commute on the interstate with a 500 cc bike for my first few years riding. After about a week or so, I felt comfortable on the highway. Buffeting isn't going to knock you off the bike.
A heavier, more powerful bike is definitely more comfortable on the highway for long stretches. But a small bike isn't terrible. Plus, if you get used to it on a small bike (which is more sensitive to wind & buffeting), you can make the argument that it makes you a better rider.

Give it a rest. I've ridden all kinds of bikes for over 35 years.
There is NOBODY who cruises down the Interstate - long distances - on a TW200. I'm on the highway all the time, I know what kind of bikes the riders are on. Argue all you want about 200cc bikes being highway bikes, but they're not. They're great bikes, but they're not cruisers.
In fact, I'll make you a deal. The next time (which will be the FIRST time) I ever see a 200cc motorcycle cruising down the highway, I'll come back to this thread and apologize to you. Until then, feel free to eat crow.
Now... Anything else you'd like to try to prove?
Who said anything about long distance cruising on a TW? Are you making up scenarios to disprove? There are plenty of cities (and rural areas) where the quickest way to get from one place to another (within a 30 mile radius) is on the interstate. The 200 and 250cc bikes can easily handle that.
And maybe you haven't been looking because I've seen people take 150cc scooters on the interstate.

it's a regional thing. he's in MN
i see 250cc class vehicles on the freeway all the time around NYC
this idea of needing very powerful bikes is pretty much an american thing as far as I can tell. in many countries a 250cc bike on the highway is very common

In many parts of the world, 250cc isn't small but medium.
