I have owned several "back in the day" (early 80's up till I smartened up) and maybe you'll listen to me?Pretty please?

Out dated, over priced junk ridden by subdivision guys trying to impress someone and to relive the rebel days they never had.

BTW..Nice bike..the old saying used to be "a half a Harley is better than none..... I guess" for guys that rode sportys .

Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Ducati mock your disdain for v-twins.

Ducatis are "L-twins" (90 degrees), I think. Moto Guzzis are close to it. I'm not sure what the angle between the cylinders on Aprilias is, but it's a wide V-twin (72 degrees?). Anyway, your point is well taken. The Diavel is my kind of cruiser!

They need to get their head out of their so called design azz and come up with something different. All their bikes look the same. New engine design, new frame,something......... chit come up with something. That V-Rod ain't it. Move forward or move over. I guess there gambling on all the baby boomers to retire and buy their bikes.

Aprilia is 60. Guzzi 90. Victory 50. How could I forget Britten at 60 as well. Britten V1000 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thanks. I couldn't recall the V-angle on Aprilia. I hardly ever see one around here.

yes, a V-twin isn't really a detriment to performance, you simply have to know how to build the engine to achieve performance. The typical HD isn't designed for performance, save the V-Rod and what Buell did with the old sportster Evo. But the typical HD (or Japanese HD copy) aren't equipped with performance oriented V-twins...however there are a plethora of bikes out there that are.
