Do sellers have to disclose problems with the home? (real estate, requirements, Virginia)

This doesn't belong here. Disclosure requirements are state specific so without providing that info you won't get an answer. Go post this in the general RE forum with the missing information. Your agent will also know the answer or just Google it and you will have an answer in seconds.
The rub is they only have to disclose what they know in most states. My 1955 house I am going to maybe sell in next few years, was never lead tested, mold tested, asbestos tested and I am fourth owner. I would truthfully answer I don't know.
This topic is state driven. Virginia and Maryland take the buyer beware attitude, but DC takes seller disclosures very seriously. (It's also likely the #1 reason for real estate attorney consults in the District).
