What would be the one thing you think someone moving to the Montreal area (from the States) should know or that you would want to tell them?
When I first moved moved from Montreal to the US (15 years ago), there was another expat-Canadian that was working at the same place. She said to me: "You are unique in the US in that you are a white male that has experienced discrimination."

If I was to be a snit I could interpret this as that everyone everywhere is expected to cater to even the slightest whims of white males (anglo too I suppose) simply because of what they are.
