After a few years of "working on it", husbands company is likely getting closer to our family being in the Montreal area for 12 - 18 months (on his Temporary Work Visa). It will (hopefully) happen by beginning of summer in which case, my boys will be starting grade 1 and Kindergarten in the Montreal area.

As I understand it, they would be able to attend English schools due to the temp work visa.?.? While I am not against them learning French (actually, I rather hope they do...and I will be learning - though with no illusion of becoming fluent in that amount of time), my oldest (and, possibly, my youngest) has dyslexia which, I suspect, will hamper his ability to easily "pick up" a second language.....he has enough difficulty with Engligh!!! So, I while I would love for them to learn French, it is more important to me that they continue to be able to 1) succeed at school and 2) be able to come back here without being behind (yes, I do realize each school teaches at a different rate for each grade...I am generalizing).

So, my question(s).
1) Does anyone have a recommendation for a good English school in the Montreal area (I say "area" because we do not have to be "in" Montreal proper (husband will be working in Laval area)).

2) Of schools in Montreal (area), is dyslexia addressed IN school (or is it all via outside facilities)? If so, which school(s)?

3) Unrelated to previous subject, but what are the vaccine requirements / forms that can be filled out to exempt from being vaccinated to attend school (e.g., medical, spiritual, personal belief exemptions, etc)?

Thank you for any input!

I unfortunately have no clue so I can only direct you to Montreal's public school board websites:

English Montreal School Board (Eastern half of Montreal Island, including the city)
Lester B. Pearson School Board (West Island)
Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier School Board (Laval and North Shore)
Riverside School Board (South Shore)

Not sure whether you get to choose a school or are automatically assigned one based on your address.

Thank you.

I have looked at a few of those websites...but find it difficult to find specifics!

If anyone has any answers (or knows where to direct me), I would so very much appreciate it!
