Pics of the construction boom going on downtown. It's still insane that all these transformations took only 3-4 years.

All the new towers built have spawned up within the last two years or so

Aside from having too many "Tour des Canadiens" (come on, seriously???) I am very impressed by what's being done and has been done in so little time. I am happy that they haven't gotten too carried away with height and that they are keeping things at a fairly modest level, and am especially happy with Griffintown. Next up, clean up Pointe St-Charles!!! Wellington St deserves better!

I definitely agree about having too many Tour des Canadiens and it is quite tacky, but man those towers sold out so fast it's insane. All about the marketing, but it's gonna be weird having 3x habs logos in the sky as well.

Downtown Montreal evolution through the decades, the city has come a long way and even the pictures in 2018 don't do justice.

Montreal's downtown core seems smallish - but I see you're trying.

Our downtown is 7sq mi, has a population of 120,000 and a daytime population of 800,000+, very far from "smallish". We're rapidly densifying at the moment as our downtown continues to grow and further expands as well.

Definitely not small. It just doesn't have tons of skyscrapers, and has a bit of a lackluster skyline overall, especially for a city of its size. It takes for one to experience at street level to really see how dense and active it is.
