My husband is originally from Poland. Is there any Polish influence anywhere in the city? Any restaurants or anything like that?

Also are there any events going on the first few days of next week? We'll be there Sunday, Monday, Tuesday.
Some interesting reading on Montreals Polish Deli's and eateries
Best deli - Quebec (including Montreal) - Chowhound

Great, thank you!

One more quick question - are BYOB restaurants popular?

It's more bring your own wine that you will find. They are scattered across the city here and there but two streets in the Plateau Mont-Royal area near St-Denis that are known for having a lot of them: Duluth and Prince-Arthur.

Look for the signs that say "Apportez votre vin".

Thanks!

Back from our trip - we had a great time. We found a really fantastic BYOW place as well that I would recommend called O'Thym. Excellent food and service.

We also ate at a great Polish place called Stash. We didn't plan to eat there but ran into it and decided to give it a try for lunch. We were not disappointed!

Thanks again to everyone for their suggestions.
