Have you considered getting an account on yelp? People post reviews and photos on there. I saw a lot of B&Bs on there in the Carmel area.

www.yelp.com

Also, you could look at reviews on TripAdvisor to see if they say basically the same thing that people are posting on yelp.

Adding that I'm so sorry you have to stay at an inn or B&B in Carmel. Who did you p*ss off?

I think I'd pick the inn over the B&B, mostly because I'm not a breakfast person.

Probably. It's extremely unlikely that 100% of the locals would have no recommendations at all. There's bound to be a few who have opinions, particularly those who work at one or the other.

I never heard of anybody having to stay at a B&B or inn, unless you could apply that to prison or jail. I bet there's lots of people in jail who have to stay there. B&Bs and inns are mostly places where you get to choose whether to stay there or not.

I guess I'm probably not taking this seriously.

Many, many years ago there used to be an inn just above the beach in Carmel that had cottages, all of them different. One even had a tree growing up through the middle of it. Sorry but I don't know if it's still in business or what the name is. Perhaps someone who lives there knows of it.
