GIRL ABDUCTOR ALSO ROBS ANOTHER YOUTH

St. Louis, Mar. 3---Miss Mary McKenna, 18, a high school student, jerked herself away from an abductor who last night had secreted himself in the automobile of Tom Tainter, 18, of St. Charles, and ran screaming into a nearby house. Previously, however, the man had robbed Tainter of $17 and forced him from the car after cutting a gash over Tainter's eye by striking him with a pistol butt.

Missouri Man Faces Charges After Attacking Vending Machine

A man from Sikeston, Mo was taken into custody for felony property damage and stealing, according to WSIL TV. The man became angry with a vending machine at a Benton, Mo business and began stabbing it with a knife until he was able to break it open and take money from the machine.

FORMER RAILROAD MAN TO PRISON FOR FORGING PAY CHECKS

Springfield, Mo., April 12.---T.J. Appleby, formerly an employee of the Frisco railroad here and at Oklahoma, was sentenced to 3 years in state prison today when he pleaded guilty to forging Frisco pay checks. He blamed gambling for his difficulties.
