On May 18, 1961, Lloyd Leo Anderson and Clewiston Jones robbed the Speckart Rexall Drug Company on 4100 West Natural Bridge in St. Louis of $525 and shot the owner and the delivery boy.



On August 15, 1953, Doc Booker shot and killed Earl Harrison in St. Louis over an argument about who was a better baseball player. He went to the gas chamber April 1, 1955.

St. Louis Post-Dispatch September 28, 1970

The bullet-riddled-bodies of four persons, including a child and Terry Cooley, a known narcotics pusher and user, were found today in the basement of a home at 3311 N. Euclid Avenue. Each had been shot several times in the head. The bodies were identified as Terry Cooley, Robert Dunn, Mrs. Marty Ross and 10 year old Steven Ross.

On May 19, 1951, Ulas Quilling shot and killed Lauvinia Webb, Irene Bragg, and Carl Dodd in Jackson County. He went to the gas chamber on May 9, 1953.

November 10, 1938, 61 year old Rosa Ledford, of Ripley County, shot and killed her 65 year old husband, William Ledford, a retired St. Louis police officer, after he threatened to kill her for not returning the $5 he gave her to buy groceries.

OUTLAWRY IN MISSOURI

Information from Douglas County represents that the house of John Hatfield was surrounded on the night of Monday, the 22nd, by a party of men, who fired several shots into it. After daybreak, Hatfield discovered two of his assailants and shot and wounded them. Subsequently Hatfield gave himself up and while being taken to the county seat in charge of an officer, he was overtaken by several men and killed, his body being riddled with bullets. Three attempts had been made on Hatfield's life since last fall.

Four Shots In Thief Chase

In a chase after a bread thief early Friday morning, policemen Ready and Demumbran of the Magnolia Avenue district, fire four shots in the neighborhood of Grand and Chouteau Avenue. The thief got away, but dropped his hat and four loaves of bread. The policemen discovered him ransacking the bread boxes in front of the store of Mrs. Petera 3551 Chouteau Avenue and Louis Mone 3553 Chouteau Avenue.




Dave Gayman and Roy Hamilton murdered Arthur Cashion in a holdup of a filling station south of New Madrid on Christmas Eve 1933. They were both hanged on August 30, 1935.
