A few nights ago I took my almost nightly stroll around my back yard to my back patio where I sit in a chair and embrace the stars. (Only doing this on clear nights, and when the mosquitos aren't bad) I did this alot during the summer. Sitting there, the silent dark night, with just me and the stars and the glow of the moon. What I loved most of it was the fact that I could sit there and not feel one bit of uncomfortability.

A few nights ago I was struggling to enjoy it. The rustling of the leaves I could not see was great, and the air seemed more clear than ever. But too chilly for me. The sad fact that the days of walking outside w/ nothing but a cut-off T, shorts and flip-flops are coming to an end.

Oh, I think you are premature. The thermometer likes to go up and down. I've seen warm weather extend even into November. I love chilly weather, but I certainly do not COUNT on it till the middle of November.

Default Northwest Minnesota snowstorm Thursday 10/4

A heads up....

More I look at things...folks in northwest Minnesota into north central Minnesota say north of Moorhead to Bemidji to Ely will be dealing with quite the snowstorm Thursday...models differ on exactly where and how much....but 6+ certainly a possibility.... stay tuned....

Much needed precipitation as fires today are raging in many sections of northwest MN....Karlstad had a partial evacuation. Viking MN as well up north of Thief River.

I saw that snow prediction--it would be helpful for the conditions up there! Cold here this weekend too.
