I can only hope so. This dry, dusty air is killing me (literally I think). Running your AC in October is just not right.
Bring on the snow! Or perhaps a nice, gentle autumn rain.

No kidding--looks like a slight chance this weekend. It's been 2 months since we have had any meaningful rain. Our trees are very droopy. It's a good idea to give your trees a good drink right now because they are very stressed from the heat and lack of rain, and our trees are pretty mature so it isn't just new trees.

I hate rain, but I'll admit we do need some. There is rain in the forecast this weekend. Some cooler temperatures would be nice, too.

Here's hoping for a warm, dry winter.

Was around 0F this morning, but back to the mid 20's now. No snow on the ground and 40's this weekend. Much better start than last winter.

Hi there.... looks like you got your mid to upper 40s today (Sunday). I presume you live north of the snow line there...I saw 50 at Morris MN.

Long range guidance we use are just terribly too cold in this pattern....wants to be too close to more normal or climo conditions which is colder. Thus long range NWS uses doesnt want to warm up as much as what eventually occurs. We have seen that a whole lot up in NW MN and eastern ND.

Dan

Hey Dan, what's the scoop with this freezing rain tonight and tomorrow? I have to be at the U of MN Hospital by 6:30 AM tomorrow--is Minneapolis going to see freezing rain? Right now I am planning on getting up at 4:00 am in case we have to drive very slowly the whole way.

I am at work tonight... problem is area of low level moisture that is streaming northeast...over the area now.... some light fog reported and with low clouds and very moist conditions just off the surface you can get some drizzle to form. Actual temperatures tonight may stay above 32F but if any drizzle does materialize by morning roads will be slick on spots. But the good news is I dont see any real 'rain' per se....meaning there isnt an area of rain on radar moving in....just more of a mist/drizzle and actual air temps 33-34F so treated surfaces should be ok as precip should be very light. Computer models want to form the best coverage of light precip over northwest Wisconsin between 6 and 9 am Monday.

Certainly cant hurt to plan but not seeing some big rain coming our way with temps falling tonight....

Dan
