Mac-Groveland Area (St. Clair: house, neighborhood, living)

Hi, looks like we found a house in the Mac Groveland Area. I was wondering if anyone could give any insight into know activities, etc. We are relocating and don't know anyone in the area. I am pregant, but we don't have any kids yet.

Also, is their a gym nearby?

We moved to MN many years ago, to the Highland Pk neighborhood, just south of Mac-Groveland. My wife became pregnant shortly after. She enrolled in ECEC classes for new moms. I think they still have them. Any pregnant woman can enroll. She met some nice wormen there with whom she had things in common, and made her first real MN friend there.

Re; gyms, I know of one small fitness center on St. Clair Ave. in M-G. Many more people go to the large Lifetime Fitness Center in Highland Village,very close to M-G.

I think you will like living there. Lots of young families.

I believe it stands for Early Childhood Education Classes(?). It was (is?) a statewide program held in community centers, churches, etc. and are open to any pregnant women (knowing MN, probably expectanbt fathers, too, but I didn't go.
