Stillwater vs. Woodbury Schools?

Aside from all of the disagreement here, I just wanted to point out that Woodbury actually is split between 3 school districts. On the east side of Woodbury from just west of Trader Joes and south to about Valley Creek Road, the district for those homes is District 834 (Stillwater Area Schools). West of Radio Drive, the district is 622 (North St. Paul-Maplewood Schools). South of around Valley Creek Road and west of Hwy 19, it is District 833 (South Washington Schools). South Wash Schools include Cottage Grove, whereas Stillwater Schools include Afton.

You can attend schools in any of these districts via open enrollment. There are some schools WITHIN each district that are closed to open enrollment due to overcrowding, etc.

As far as reputation and stats, ISD 834 and 833 are competetive with each other, but ISD 622 is not even close. I have lived and worked in both 833 and 834 in administration, and the quality is good in both. The commute from one to the other is NO BIG DEAL. Did it for many years.

PS Stillwater has a better financial reputation but IMO has been suffering from more budget constraints in recent years.

Edit to OP: forget about Hudson! Lived there too and have friends in both teaching and admin there. They always migrate to Twin City districts when they can, for many reasons and not just pay!
