Aye, there's the rub. I like to imbibe too, but some people go right over the wall, and ruin their lives (and everybody else's) with drug and alcohol abuse.
My partner's brother is a pitiful loser when he drinks - yet he does it anyway, despite our objections and efforts to intercede. I've got a dear friend whose 25 year old son is a violent, irresponsible, dead-end drunkard, who refuses to move out, and doesn't care what he breaks or who he hurts.
What do you do with somebody like that, except get them out of your life?

I did get him out of my life back in 1997 due to him using drugs. I haven't seen or spoken to him since. I have never stopped thinking about him & praying that he will get his life together, for his own sake. I had the luxury of knowing him before he became an addict.
