I will be attending law school at Marquette next fall. Pefer to be within 10-15 minutes walking distance of the school. Safety is my number one concern. Any recommendations?

I'm finishing up my 4th year of my undergraduate degree at Marquette. I can say anywhere right on campus is very safe. Marquette has an amazing public safety program. My ex girlfriend lived in Campus Town apartments for a year and she loves it. I lived about 5 blocks away from Marquette Law School for two years, in a house, and we never had a security issue.

I also highly recommend Library Hill and I've heard Catholic Knights is nice. Both are within 3 blocks of Marquette Law.

Marquette is encompassed by an invisible boundary. Stay east of 20th Street, south of State St. and North of Clybourn. Anywhere within that boundary is very safe!

im looking into the cedar square apartments just a few blocks North of campus. Do you know anyone that lives in them or have you heard anything about them? My primary concern is noise, I do not want to be up all night listening to the party upstairs.

I live at 23rd and Kilbourn and I consider that too far west for safety. East of 20th and south of State I consider to be safe from what I can tell.

I spent 6 years at Marquette. If safety is your number one concern, do not live off campus. Yes there are some nearby apartments that are safe within the boundaries mentioned above, but the Campus Town apartments (which are university-owned and managed) are the safest, short of the dorms. You might have a problem snagging one though, as they are quite popular, and also there are few, if any, for single tenants--most are doubles/quads. Good luck!

Well I live on the east side and commute to marquette. It's about a 7-8 minute drive. However depending where you choose to live it can be costly. I love living right on the lake front. What are you looking to spend?
