Hi. I know that some people have discussed unemployment issues on this thread so I wanted to ask about how the unemployment benefits extension works.

My initial 26 weeks just ended and at the end of my MARVIN phone call today it said something about mailing out a check instead of a direct deposit and that I should just call it again in 2 weeks.

Is that how it normally works when you are eligible for the extensions?

If your eligible for extensions, you should call (866) 500-0017. This is the phone number to call if you have questions about Marvin and this phone number helped me a few times with filing for extensions, they'll just ask for your MARVIN pin and stuff and your information, they'll fill it out for you.

As far as a check over direct deposit, this is new to me. I'll probably find out as well when I make the call today if they will do the same thing. So, no, this isn't part of the extensions. It would be a good idea to call the number above to make sure.
