Anyone on here that works for Verizon that has used their relocation assistance? HR says they don't have a set package, that you have to negotiate it when you accept an offer. If anyone has received this benefit from them would you be willing to tell me what they covered?

I did a relo with free hotel, travel, and food for 2 years but the union
with us fighting got this. If you are union they may help, and people I did
know took the relo union package lump sum without moving. Most did not
wish to move and did the travel round trip 55miles each way. Then we
got the 6,6 and 5 offer and many did take it. If you are management they
may offer to sell or buy your house if it does not sell. Also depends on your
value to the company with the money they will pay! HR is correct you may do best with them or better with an independent company.
VZ does use outside company's therefore price check for the value. Also we are in hard times so factor that in to the offer. My relo deal was travel
120 miles round trip, with the union deal. Yes, I was the value added package with VZ, Verizon is a great place when I worked there and we were treated
well. However, the union did help us and management also.

Burns, no we didn't end up relocating, the position was changed from a rsr to csr, and we couldn't survive on that so he withdrew his transfer request.

Maggie, hubby's store isn't union, and management is paper trailing him out so they're no help. (Don't get me started.)
