Shelby Twp has Stoney Creek MetroPark down the road which is one of my favorite places for running/blading/biking. Hall Road is a few miles south which has everything one could need in life from Nordstrom to Walmart. You're driving distance to Romeo/Armada too which are fun towns to visit - apple orchards etc. Pretty opposite sides of the D in terms of commuting - where's the job located?

As mentioned above Shelby has Stoney Creek wich is a great park for the summer. The south part of Shelby has Hall Rd which has every ammenity imaginable. From restaurants, shopping to the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts and the Cultural Center and more you can find in Hall Rd. Depending on where you are in Shelby you could be at less than 25 min from Lake St Clair if you are interested in boating.
Commerce Twp I like a lot, it is your ideal place if you are interested in waterfront living. I find it more peaceful and rural, but ammenities are not as accesible when compared to Shelby.

I'm a physical therapist and plan to work with one of the home care companies in Metro Detroit area. I have 2 kids and I'm looking for a place/city where my Kids would love and with Good school district with affordable homes.
