Thanks! We only planned on staying in Traverse City for the weekend, but the power loss forced us out. The only place We could think of going was Mackinaw City...and I'm glad we did! The drive from TC to MC was spectacular, and the drive to Tahquamenon falls was just incredible! I have to say it was the most impressive road trip I have ever taken, and being up at the falls in winter is a dream come true I will NEVER forget!

You just have to love the way a fresh snowfall looks when it covers everything in a blanket of white. We didn't get much... only about 5-6" in most places with 8-10" in a few areas in Mason County. It was enough to give a nice blanket over all the trees. Most of the heavy snow was either just North of us or just South of us. Of course I left my polarizing filter at the house when I went into town, so the sky didn't "pop" like it should have. It was a much better looking blue in real life. I'll have to go out again in the next couple days, if the snow holds on. It is supposed to push 50 tomorrow and be well into the 40's today and the rest of the week.

Typical tree after a snowfall.

A line of Pines bordering a field

A stand of small pines in front of some tall ones.

A wider shot of the last photo's area. The sky was beautiful blue yesterday as well as today.

A red barn that stands out against the blue sky and white snow.

I'm loving the snow pics. Here are few from around our property.

Our house and front yard.

Part of our driveway, with the weight of the snow making a "tunnel", and our dog Peanut

Just a little deep...

Our two "barns"

Our side yard.

Thanks! Yes, it sure is. This was our first big snow since moving up in September. We had fun with it.
